Already this Sunday (July 21), we welcome our participants in the 21^st Salos summer school and conference!

Also, the next day (Monday, July 22), participants and visitors alike are warmly invited to attend a concert by Kaunas String Quartet with Laimonas Salijus (accordion). Admission is free of charge!

If you’d like to present a paper at this year’s Salos Linguistics Conference, you still have time: the deadline for submitting abstracts has been extended until May 31st. You can find all the information and the abstract submission form here. Registration for participants without a paper will begin in June.

Our call for participants for this year’s summer school has been announced! We will be focussing on linguistic fieldwork, data annotation and quantitative methods – the essentials for working with linguistic data. Click here for all the information about the event. For many years, it has been a cherished tradition for Academia Grammaticorum Salensis to be accompanied by the Salos Music Festival. And this year is no exception! Following the lectures and presentations, both participants and the local community will have the pleasure of immersing themselves in two mesmerizing and inspiring musical performances. We eagerly anticipate welcoming everyone next week! See you there!

A preliminary programme for the upcoming Academia Salensis is now available!

The Salos Summer School is almost upon us, but we still have some great news! One more lecturer will be joining us in Academia Grammaticorum Salensis Undevigesima – it’s prof. dr. Uta Reinöhl from Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg. We’re looking forward to her lectures!

The crew of this year’s invited speakers is complete!
We’re glad to announce that prof. Gilles Authier from Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Paris, will be joining us on-site, as well. He will be talking about the typological diversity in the languages of the Caucasus, while prof. Östen Dahl’s topic will be the role of bounders in tense-aspect system.
